Extraction: Bergamot essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the peel of ripening fruit.
Aroma: Bergamot essential oil has a fresh, subtle, spicy lemon scent with warm balsamic undertones.
Uses: Massage, baths, inhalation, vaporisation and may be added to base emollients. It may be inhaled directly from a tissue for emotional upset and negative moods. It is safe for home use if well diluted.
Blends well with: Black Pepper, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Ginger, Neroli and Sandalwood.
Caution: Bergamot essential oil may irritate skin especially if subsequently exposed to sunlight.
